- Reviewed in Canada on April 18, 2025Verified PurchaseWorks great. No issues. Bright adjustable display. Perfect for most hobbyists and home owners. Leads are long and flexible. Temp sensor works well. Nice case too.
- Reviewed in Canada on July 3, 2024Verified PurchaseI'm an avionics systems technician, I've used a lot of multimeters over the years, this one is the best bang for the buck, by far, it has all the features any common worker will need, it's easy to read and hold, I like having the lead ports on the side.
Only thing I noticed when I first started using it was the dial is a little too low profile, can be a little tricky to grasp it.

- Reviewed in Canada on September 18, 2024Verified PurchaseUsing this for school has come in handy many times, I like that it tells you where to plug in stuff depending on the setting you choose and that it has an option to sense temperature. It also comes with batteries (:
- Reviewed in Canada on December 8, 2024Verified PurchaseI liked the size and sturdy construction of the case. It should have come with a stand of the back. I need an accurate MM everyday checking marine and auto batteries and household modifications.
- Reviewed in Canada on April 14, 2024Verified PurchaseWell made. Easy to use.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 25, 2025Verified PurchaseHave bough a few of these. They work.... but the more we use them, the less were inclined to recommend them. Have Started to swap them out.. Expected more from Klein
Spend a lot of time repeat fiddling with the meter settings , or trying to beat the power off timeout
#1 Aggressive power saving (There is a option to Lock the meter on but then #3 is even worse.. especially if you forget to turn it off). Would be nice to be user settable
#2 Doesn't remember last sub setting (if changed from default.. On power up sub option goes back default (IE. Voltage Defaults to A/C on power on but we work with D/C) . would be much better to have a Physical dial option for each mode (vrs Physical Dial selection + digital sub option switching).
#3 Eat batteries way more than any other meter we use (At least with most of them. 1 seems to have better battery life). Never seen a meter blow through batteries more than this one. I'd think Klein may also own a battery factory :-)
#4 Visual que for short testing isn't that great. We usually work with Headphones; so its harder to quickly check via buzz or directly thru squinting at the meter display. Would be nice if there was a large LED which would light up
#5 Don't normally see this; but would be nice to have option for D/C adapter power source

Verified PurchaseWhenever I get a new Multi-meter (VOM), I put it through a series of tests at my bench before I using it in the field. I have a personally made PC board, that has set parameters, that I use to test for voltage, resistance and current readings. This way I know how reliable and accurate the multimeter is for use in the field. There are certain expectations, when it comes to how accurate a reading is. A Digital Multimeter like this one, should have an accuracy rate of plus or minus 1%. Meaning, if the voltage being read is set for 100 Volts DC. Then, the meter reading must be between 99 -101 VDC or the meter doesn't pass the test. This meter passed all tests, except one ...The current / amperage test. I was testing small current, expecting the reading to be at 5.53 milliamps (0.00553 amps) plus or minus 1%. The meter read 5.74 milliamps (0.00574 amps) which is out side the 1% rate. It should have read somewhere between 5.47 milliamps and 5.58 milliamps. This means the meter has a error in amperage of plus 3.75% to what ever the actual reading should be. Some might say "So What" and that a plus error of .21 milliamps isn't anything to worry about. Well, in most cases it wouldn't make much difference. But when you are working on Computer boards and the voltage is 5v max and the currents are in the low Milliamps and into the Microamps range, (which this meter is suppose to do) a 3.75% error WILL throw your calculations off and make you frustrated at the readings and calculations.....Causing an never ending cycle of ... WTF !!! This meter will not be used in the field... it will be a "lab" used meter at this point and I will not buy another. Hope this helps someone !!
